The best luxury, mid-range, and ultralight packs for 2018

We sent a survey to our community on their favorite AT towns. I compiled the responses and wrote this piece, including choice bits of info on each town. This was a fun piece I did on my own time, and has been a very popular piece on the site.

Technical gear roundup for the best tents of the year for long-distance backpackers. 

A comprehensive listing of the hostels found along the length of the Appalachian Trail. Less of a creative project and more of a long-term resource that is important to have on the site. 

A high amount of effort went into the production of this piece:  selecting the foods, reaching out to brands, choosing writers to test and review, and compiling/formatting the post. 

I received a list of our top packs for the year, and did extensive research into each one, including what category of hiker the pack would work best for. 

The final "Big Three" of the Best-Of gear series, this tent post followed the same baseline as the other two Best-Of gear posts.
